DNA Typing of Human Papillomavirus in Adult Laryngeal Papillomas

Abstract
|

|
A study is reported in which an in situ hybridization technique for the demonstration of human papillomavirus has been applied to formalin-fixed paraffin processed tissue obtained from thirteen patients with adult laryngeal papilloma.
Nine patients were positive for HPV 6, five of these were positive for HPV 11. All cases were negative for HPV 16 and 18. As above results, laryngeal papilloma are closely related to HPV 6 and 11.
